Position Summary: 
The Branch Support Specialist will act as a retail product and process expert, traveling throughout the branch footprint as needed, and providing support and guidance for retail teams at the guidance and direction of the Branch Manager Team Lead.  
 
Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of Prevail Bank products and services and be well familiarized with opening procedures and policies. This includes all consumer and business products and service types. 
  • When needed, travel to branches to help support the coverage of PTO and unexpected absences to ensure customers are receiving excellent service on both teller and banker interactions. 
  • In partnership with the Deposit Account Specialist, and with direction from the BM Team Lead – help provide ongoing training, support, and development to team members on account opening and maintenance processes, policies, and procedures. 
  • In partnership with the Teller Specialist, and with direction from the BM Team Lead – help provide ongoing training, support, and development to team members on teller transactions, policies, and procedures. 
  • Maintain knowledge of requirements for supporting documentation for CIP purposes for all deposit account types
  • Provides Smartbanker support as needed – works closely with BM Team Lead and Deposit Account Specialist to ensure that policies, procedures, and resources guides are up to date and accurate
  • Continue to take additional training, as needed, to ensure knowledge is up to date on processes and procedures with IRS requirements for HSA/IRAs, including certification programs, and business accounts.
  • Acts as a SME on the SPARXS program and can model, support, and skill practice the process with retail team members to support engagement and growth.
  • Supports bankers, as needed, on outstanding tickler report items.
  • As needed, provide leadership support to branches in the absence of a branch manager due to PTO or other circumstances. 
  • Demonstrates engagement with bank tools and services such as Salesforce, MANTL, ClickSwitch/CardSWAP, and others. Able to help others engage with these systems. 
  • Joins training and retail calls, as needed, to answer questions and provide ongoing guidance to retail staff.
  • Take on additional tasks, as needed, as assigned by manager
  • Follow procedures and policies that ensure compliance with not only Bank policies and procedures, but also all applicable federal and state banking regulatory agency policies.
  • Comply with bank standards for attendance and hours of work. 
  • Have the ability to be able to work in a fast-paced team environment to create a positive impact on the bank.
  • Perform other duties as required to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
Qualifications

Education/Experience: 

Four-year degree or related experience in a relationship banker role; preference for previous supervisory experience. Previous experience in training environment preferred. Must be able to work under stress and handle difficult situations. This job requires skills needed in a typical office environment.  This includes Microsoft Word and Excel skills, communications skills, as well as utilization of office equipment.
